Mikuni is all about kaizen, the Japanese word for continuous improvement. This is a theme that’s evident throughout the restaurant chain, especially at its newest location in Elk Grove.
The eatery is a feast for the senses with its one-of-a-kind sushi bar, awe-inspiring decor and original artwork by Sacramento urban performance artist David Garibaldi and metal sculptor Terrance Martin. A pulsing energy also emanates from the kitchen with its team of chefs producing a succession of delectable sushi rolls.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s, the American automotive aftermarket witnessed a resurgence in interest in Mikuni sidedraft carburetors. Both the Datsun 510 and 240Z, in particular, used three-carb sets to feed their six-cylinder engines. While they’ve been out of production for a while, Wolf Creek Racing in Long Island, New York, continues to have a healthy business selling rebuild kits for these free-breathing carburetors.
Understanding Cartridge Heaters: Applications and Advantages
Mikuni is also involved in a variety of other businesses, manufacturing heaters for buses and other large vehicles, valves and safety devices for gas-powered appliances, as well as humidifiers. The company has even ventured into the field of green energy, supplying fuel injection systems and components to Honda.
